11/4/11,
Sebastian Vettel victorious through the unpredictable Malaysian GP!!
The Formula 1 championship continues in Malaysia with Sebastian Vettel seeing first the checkered flag after the finish of the race. The young German driver of Red Bull was the fastest driver through the qualifying test on Saturday taking the pole position. And that is what it was meant to be, he won the race being followed by Jenson Button and Nick Heidfeld who had a very impressive performance during the race making a very nice and fast start in the start of the race. Hamilton who started from second ended his race in seventh. but later he was placed in eighth because of a driving penaltie.
Fernando Alonso suffered the same penaltie of the 20 seconds but remained in the sixth position. Fernando Alonso lost the chance to get to the podium after destroying his front when he touched with Hamilton in a try of passing him (Hamilton). His team mate Felipe Massa enden the race in fifth behind the Red Bull of Mark Webber.
Both of the Red Bulls had problems with the KERS system which surely made their driving more difficult. Kamui Kobayashi had some side-by-side racing with Webber, and took eighth place for Sauber in Hamilton's wake and ahead of Michael Schumacher in front of Paul di Resta's Force India.
Nico Rosberg was placed in 12th in the second Mercedes, ahead of the Toro Rossos of Sebastien Buemi, who overcame a stop-and-go penalty for pit-lane speeding to beat team mate Jaime Alguersuari to 13th. Heikki Kovalainen got the 15th position, as Lotus beat Virgin and Timo Glock in the newer teams' race to complete the finishing positions.
Vitaly Petrov had just repassed Kobayashi for eighth place on the 53rd lap when he had a big off high speed out of his control in which his Renault bounced so high over a kerb that his car's steering column seemed damaged on landing, but though he hit an advertising hoarding he didn't hurt himself. His race has come to its end.
Tonio Liuzzi didn't make the finish as his HRT stopped when running 18th, nor did Jerome D'Ambrosio's Virgin which had been just ahead of him. Jarno Trulli's Lotus also ran into unreliability, as did Sergio Perez's Sauber and Narain Karthikeyan's HRT, while both Williams drivers, Pastor Maldonado and Rubens Barrichello, had early problems and failed to continue the race ahead.
