7/2/11,
Karun Chandhok do not want to erase the dream of Formula 1. After last year's failed collaboration with HRT and removal, as his sponsors did not seem consistent in their payments, the Indian started looking for the next roof. This might not be ruled by the Team Lotus, as the team will place the car ahead of both tests in Jerez and Barcelona in the future to assess it and decide whether it will broaden the potential of an alternate driver.
Tony Fernandes revealed in statements to Reuters that Chandhok, who last week watched the trials of Valencia as a guest of Team Lotus, will test his team: "We would like to have him as an alternate driver, but we must see if our cooperation goes well. I give him the opportunity to do testing in Jerez and Barcelona and then decide. "
Fernandes said that the Indian has the confidence both of Mike Gascoyne and the Managing Director of Team Lotus, Riad Asmet. The Lotus is currently not available as the alternate driver Fairuz Fauzy, who had that role last year, this year belongs to the potential of Renault.
