Disappointment in McLaren!!

Only ideal can not be said to have started the first tests of the new MP4-26 as the new car of McLaren finished the 4 days in Jerez having done only a few rounds. Problems of youth have beaten the British team plus the bad weather which was not their ally on the last day. Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton stayed for quite a long time stuck in the pits of the team while their opponents were doing many kilometers.

"It was a frustrating day with the wind affecting significantly our program and our efforts on finding the right set-up of the MP4-26. Jenson was unable to find the ideal balance on the car. The last day ended early as we had an early problem with a component, was the statement by the group after the fourth and the last day of testing at Jerez.

Jenson Button completed 70 laps, scoring only the ninth fastest lap of the day. Also his time wasn't as fast as his fastest time period on Friday with a difference of 1,2 seconds. It looks like they have to do a lot of work, to improve the car's performance.
