Jackie Stewart was taken to the hospital today (yesterday) after being taken ill during a flight. The three-times world champion was returning from the Geneva Motor Show. A statement issued by his office said: “Sir Jackie is in Hillingdon Hospital, Uxbridge after a physical set back on a flight back from Geneva to London Heathrow early this afternoon.“"He's fine," Stewart’s son Paul told the BBC. "All his vital organs are okay - it wasn't a heart attack or anything like that. He just needs some rest. It's nothing to be overly concerned about." He is fully conscious and having precautionary medical checks but we are expecting a full recovery.”
Stewart, had become the world champion in 1969, 1971 and 1973, and have retired from Formula One competition at the end of ’73.
