Without any contingency was the operation for removing the appendix to Timo Glock done. The German driver of Marussia Virgin Racing is already at home and recovers from the surgery. He expected to be combat ready even earlier than it was initially estimated but still seems almost impossible to take part in the final winter test which are conducted in the next week at the Catalunya circuit in Barcelona.

"I am very pleased with how the surgery went well but also from how fast I am recovering. It's unfortunate to miss the tests in Barcelona. But my opponents should be worried in view of Australia. Without appendicitis, I will be definitely faster, I should have lost at least a few grams, " said jokingly, the German driver.
