6/3/11,
This is the difference of the W02 between its main competitors!!
Ross Brawn admitted that the new W02 is well behind its main competitors. As admitted by the chief-head of Mercedes GP talking to the British radio, the distance down is to one second per lap, although it concerns the old version of the silver arrow we've seen so far and which is expected to change dramatically starting with the next test weeks in Barcelona.
"In the last test in Barcelona we tried our forces with a low fuel load and a soft rubber tire and we were the second fastest car. But I do not think this is the position we have in general. I think we're a second in lap behind the level we want and what we want obviously is to battle for the top. We therefore find this second in an upgrade that comes and we think we can do, although you never know how much improvement we can make the other teams. I expect to have all teams some upgrades in Barcelona. If someone presents an innovation which none of the other teams has thought before, things may change. We have our plan and when we get to Melbourne we will know if our plan was right, "said the British technician at BBC Radio Five Live.
The German team has chosen to make his own four-day test at the Catalunya circuit from Wednesday to Saturday.
