8/3/11,
FIA, has given an extension date about the decision on whether the GP will be done!!
Finally, there will be no decision on the Grand Prix of Bahrain until the start of the season. This initial target was set by Bernie Ecclestone and the world motorsport federation was not reached and finally the Arab country has until 1 May to decide whether it can eventually accommodate this year's Grand Prix Formula 1 or not. The issue was discussed today (8 / 3) in the meeting of the World Motor Sport Council, which took place in Paris where this extension was decided.
"The World Motor Sport Council has asked the motorsport federation of Bahrain to report until the 1of May at the latest, if they can hold the Grand Prix in Bahrain in 2011, reported FIA.
If local factors ensure that the crisis in the Gulf country will have softened by then, the more likely scenario is the struggle of Sakhir to be located in late of November, a reasonable package with the event of Abu Dhabi, with the possibility of the change in the date of the Grand Prix in Brazil to be probably made by then.
