Fascinating races with Pirelli!!

16/3/11,
Paul Hembery is sure that that his tyres will help the races become more entertaining!!

The new tires of Formula 1, after the selection of Pirelli as the official supplier, have entered in the heart of many debates. In the tests in the past few days several drivers expressed concerns about the sharp drop in performance after the first laps. At low temperatures in the first tests the effect was quite strong but in Barcelona in the last week of the tests where the temperature was higher and the situation a little better.

This makes the Sporting Director of Pirelli, Paul Hembery, be more optimistic about the performance of the Italian tire company: "The message is that when we find ourselves at appropriate temperatures we will get data that are closer to those which we gathered on our own tests. In Spain we saw some interesting simulation races but the teams play games and have many different tactics. What we saw is that strategies will be developed which will vary from two to four pit stop depending on the team. "

Hembery reiterated that Pirelli built the tires as it was requested and that the result would be to have more spectacular events: "As far as we are concerned, we have done what it was requested requested, which was to have more than one(1) pit stop. Our goal was to have two and this time we will probably average three, but it will be seen below. For many years the sport had many pit stops to change the tires and refuel we saw beautiful races implemented some clever strategies. Remember when Michael Schumacher won several races with Ross Brawn taking the right decisions. If we can be this thing to happen again, by side of the viewer this will be exciting. It is very exciting when some teams will have a two pit stop strategy and some four.
