Mercedes don't get panicked!!

6/3/11,
Nick Fry tried to downplay the hitherto lack of competitiveness!!

The new racing season has begun with not the best possible way for Mercedes GP. The new W02 with which the German team will participate in the 2011 World Cup has shown alarming samples. Apart from any reliability problems, allegedly located far behind the Red Bull Racing and Ferrari, but the administration of silver arrows do not worry.

"From what we've seen so far on the track, obviously the performance is not at the levels we wanted. But there are two major reasons for this. One is that our car had problems in the cooling systems and also on how using an aerodynamic package with major compromises in this area, which significantly affects the performance. Also, we test our car having a slightly different strategy, participating in something called like a "basic version of our car" and we will have a significant upgrade in the view of the first race. We knew then that we would not be the fastest, to put it that way. We do not panic, we project, we remain loyal and I think that we will reach a satisfactory level when we will arrive in Australia, "said the CEO of Mercedes GP, Nick Fry, to the news agency of Reuters.

The silver arrows are expected to present a package to upgrade to the latest development tests which are carried out next week in Barcelona. In the case of Mercedes GP, from Wednesday through Saturday.

"There will be also there some upgrades. I think you will see improvement but I repeat, there is no matter to panic, "said Fry.
